MUSICAL OBSERVATIONS

Beginning Art

In the lesson students focused on how artist used different visual references. Students looked at musical instrument still lifes and drew them in 4 different drawing styles: Contour, Value, Reductive, and Scumbling. They also looked at the composition of their drawings and how they fit on the page.

WEARABLE ART

Beginning Art

In this lesson students learned about Wearable Art and how it functions. Students used materials from home to construct their own piece of wearable art focusing on the form and function of the piece.

ANDY GOLDSWORTHY INSPIRED SCULPTURES

Beginning and Advanced Art

In this lesson student looked towards the artist Andy Goldsworthy to inspire their own site-specific sculptures. Students focused on using a variety of materials and the vocab Emphasis and Balance.

VIRTUAL LEARNING PORTRAITS

Beginning and Advanced Art

In this lesson students took photographs of themselves with objects important to them during online learning. After, they took 3-5 items to create a still life. Students focused on value using materials they have a home, such as pencil, marker, chalk, drawing apps, ect.
